We have received a Public Charter Schools Dissemination Grant from the U.S. Department of Education through the Ohio Department of Education. The purpose of this booklet is to share some of our best practices and program materials with you. We have identified six easily replicated areas to increase student achievement, reduce classroom discipline issues, and enrich both students and faculty members. We welcome an opportunity to share these with you.
HSA’S BEST RACTICES
We believe our success is rooted in our attention to detail and careful monitoring of each and every one of our students. Teams of teachers and administrators meet weekly after school to share and track information about specific students. HSA has both grade-level staff meetings and department staff meetings led by a grade and department chair. The following pages contain information and resources you may find useful in duplicating some of the practices that work well in our school. Feel free to modify for use in your school. Regular updates are available on our website, www.hsas.org. There, you will also find a link to our Dissemination Project website with regularly updated news, information, and downloadable lesson plans and other materials.
TOPICS WE CAN SHARE:
